Surpassing Our Expectations...Achieving Our Best at GBA

On Thursday, June 4, the Promotional Commencement Exercise for Grade 6 at Grand Bahama Academy, an educational institution in the North Bahamas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, was celebrated. Twenty-two (22) students of excellence were applauded and challenged under the theme; “Surpassing Our Expectations…Achieving Our Best”. The keynote address was very ably delivered by Mrs. Lynn C. Smith, a veteran educator and former Principal of Grand Bahama Academy (GBA), Bahamas Academy and Cayman Academy (formerly Edmer in the Cayman Islands). Mrs. Smith commended the students for their achievements thus far then motivated and inspired them to set goals and work to achieve them, never give up on their dreams, and take responsibility for their lives.
