Grand Bahama
Academy Makes Food Donation to the Evangeline Jervis Community
Distribution Center
Grand Bahama Academy (GBA), a K-3 to Grade12 Seventh-day Adventist institution
in the northern Bahamas, at it annual Christmas program "The Surprising
Christmas Pageant" presented the story of the birth of Christ as told with
humor, mystery, awe and a twenty-first century flavor. At the program there was
also presented food items to the Evangeline Jervis Community Distribution
Center, which is run by the Freeport Seventh-day Adventist Church, to assist in
the daily feeding and providing of meals to the needy in the surrounding
community. Mrs. Desiree Rolle-Forbes, principal of GBA (to the right in the
picture) along with students made the presentation to Pastor Michael A. Smith,
church pastor and Mrs. Carleta Carolina, assistant director of the Center and a
daughter of the person for which the center is named.
