Abuse Prevention Sabbath

This annual event is sponsored by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Church Women's Ministries and Family Ministries Departments.  The theme for this day, Sabbath August 23, is "Abuse of Power". See the following links for information. Family Ministries and Women's Ministries

 
Obsessed with Jesus

Under the caption "Obsessed with Jesus", the Youth Gospel Extravaganza with Pastor Desmond Sturrup lifted off at the Freeport Seventh-day Adventist Church on Saturday, August 2nd. Meetings continue through to August 9 at 7:30 nightly and are “OFF THE CHAINS”. We are inviting youth and young at heart from all over Grand Bahama to come and get involved. See pictures

 
New Secretary Elected For Bahamas Conference

August 6, 2008 Bahamas Conference [WIU Staff]
Kenny V. A. Deveaux was elected as the new Executive Secretary of The Bahamas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists during a special meeting of the Executive Committee on Wednesday, August 6, 2008.  He was chosen to replace Pastor Eric Clarke who was recently elected as the president of the Cayman Islands Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Read more

 
North Bahamas Mission Family Fun and Sports Day Photos

The Annual Family Fun and Sports Day was held as a part of the "Obsessed with Jesus" Summer Youth Extravaganza on Emancipation Day, Monday, August 4, 2008 at the Grand Bahama Sports Complex. Seventh-day Adventists of all age groups united together for a time of fun and enjoyment. See more

Pathfinders and other Uniformed Groups Model to Help Fight Crime in Schools

July 30, 2008 Camp Verley, St. Catherine [Nigel Coke/WIU Staff] With the increased level of indiscipline resulting in violent attacks on teachers and students which has resulted in a number of student fatalities, plans are afoot to replicate the programmes of uniformed groups. Pastor Baraka Muganda, Youth Director of the Adventist World Church, admonished the young people "Don’t give up on the Pathfinder and Master Guide movement!" Read more

 
Hope TV - It's On Channel 653 Cable Bahamas

Hope TV, the official Seventh-day Adventist Television Network is now on Cable Bahamas Channel 653 Digital. It can be accessed by those who have the digital box. Now persons in the Bahamas can view the everlasting good news of hope and salvation on both 3ABN Basic Cable Bahamas Channel 53 and Hope TV on Bahamas Cable 653. Tell the World.  

 
Grand Bahama Academy

Grand Bahama Academy, a K3-12 Seventh-day Adventist Christian educational institution, extends the invitation to take advantage of a strong academic programme in a Christian environment.
