The North Bahamas Mission Youth Department Presents Summer Activities Under The Theme “Jesus In Me”

It is with much excitement and elation that the officers of the North Bahamas Mission Youth Department anticipate this summer. It is one of those summers that is filled with much promise and expectation. This year we are proposing various programs to keep our youth focused on the God of our salvation. Among the holistic programs that will be offered are:

Camp YUCAYEKE 2005!!! This promises to be the best camp ever held in our territory. From July 31, to August 7, we will have a great time at The Grand Bahama Youth Campsite. The plans are going well for camp this year. We will meet under the theme: “Jesus in Me”. We believe the goal of our focus for this camp will be realized in the life of each young person. There will be tremendous benefits as we camp this year, among them are:

(1) Interaction with the pristine beauty of nature.
(2) Interfacing with youth from our territory and the community.
(3) Accomplishing community service projects.
(4) Learning camp-craft.
(5) Learning wilderness survival skills.
(6) Learning respect for nature and wild life.
(7) Practical church services with the aim of making a difference in the lives of youth.

All young people between the ages of 10 to 110 are invited to be a part of this exciting time.

“Jesus in Me” Youth Extravaganza!!! Beginning August 14 – 27, 2005. This series promises to be bigger and better than last year. The speaker is pumped with Holy Ghost fire. The speaker is energized with divine energy and ready to go. Dr. David King is really looking forward to interacting with the youth of our area and community. Dr. King specializes in relating messages to youth with a prophecy focus. We believe this program will be a tremendous success. It promises to be very inspiring, and exciting, but most of all it will be for many, life changing. Let’s come out and support the youth of our mission as we seek to lift up Jesus and mash down Satan.

The Youth Department of the Mission will for the first time this summer present its first debating competition. Our youth leaders who will organize this program and the youths who will be involved in this program are excited about the prospects of giving a response for the faith they believe. It is going to be exciting and special. Please plan to attend on August 27. Your support for the team that will represent your church will be necessary for this to be successful.

As usual year by year The Youth Department sponsors the beach picnic of the year! Youth Summer Splash will be very electrifying this year. We will have fun and fellowship for all. It is not just for the youth. It is a beach picnic for the entire mission sponsored by the youth department. There will be some special features this year at youth summer splash. You just have to come out to experience them. Food (that won’t run out), fun (that will be enjoyed to the fullest) and fellowship (Christian style) will all be a part of this thrilling experience come and enjoy!

The North Bahamas Mission’s Youth Department will be extremely busy ensuring that our youth are well cared for this summer. We enjoin the entire mission to come and be apart of our activities; after all we are all in ministry together. May God continue to bless our organization and the Youth Department.

Thought For The Week
The Poet writes:

“One ship sails east, the other west
On the self-same winds that blow.
‘Tis the set of the sails and not the gales
That determines the way she goes”.

Set your mental outlook to always expect the best. You will often get exactly what you expect! And even if you don’t, you will still get to enjoy the pleasure of anticipation.

Happy Sabbath!
