The president is the chief officer of the Mission. He is the spiritual leader of the membership and is responsible for the coordination of all the various avenues of church work. He facilitates strategic planning to accomplish the mission of the North Bahamas Mission and articulates that vision to the constituency. He serves as chairperson or member of many boards for church related operations. The president is available to visit with church members by appointment as his schedule permits.

The Office of the Secretariat is the guardian for the official records of the North Bahamas Mission. The secretariat works closely with the office of the president in service to the constituency. Responsibilities include: preparation of agenda and minutes for mission boards and committees, care for mission membership records, processing of all employee transfers, oversee issues involving mission personnel, care of all employee service records, serves as secretary or member of various mission boards and committees and oversees the office management. In addition, he provides direction and leadership to those maintaining the official records of membership for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the North Bahamas.

Elder Roderick N. Sands, Treasurer

The office of the treasurer is responsible for all financial affairs that affect the North Bahamas Mission. In this role, the treasurer carries out the financial directives of the constituency as represented by the Executive Committee. Activities of the office include: payroll services for denominational employees, disbursement of funds according to donor designation, preparation and presentation of financial statements on a regular basis, responsibility for the proper use of tithe funds, preparation of the annual conference budget and monitoring adherence to that budget, receipting of donations, care and maintenance of the physical assets of the mission, safeguarding of all mission assets and moving arrangements for denominational employees. The treasurer’s office provides training for local church and school treasurers. The treasurer also serves as a member of various boards and committees and oversees the Adventist Book Center.
